Welcome to the One West Tourism Association Partner Advisory Council—a vibrant gathering of passionate minds, united by a shared love for the growth of the tourism industry. Think of this group as the ultimate dream team, where innovation meets inspiration.
This council is dedicated to elevating the One West experience for all partners and providing guidance on partner benefits, engagement opportunities, and activities that will benefit the entire membership.

Public Lands Committee (new for 2026/2027)
The Public Lands Committee brings together destinations and partners to collaborate on issues impacting tourism on public lands across the West. From national parks and forests to BLM lands and scenic recreation areas, this committee will explore strategies around visitor management, sustainability, stewardship, and responsible tourism. Members will share best practices, discuss emerging challenges, and help elevate the role DMOs can play in protecting and promoting these incredible natural assets for future generations.

Public Relations Committee (new for 2026/2027)
The Public Relations Committee brings together destination communicators and public relations professionals to collaborate on storytelling, media relations, crisis communications, and destination reputation management. This group will share best practices, explore emerging communications trends, and discuss strategies for engaging media, stakeholders, and local communities. Members will exchange ideas, learn from one another, and help strengthen the voice of destinations across the One West community.

Managing Wildfire & Smoke for Outdoor Recreation Destinations
This committee will be for tourism destinations that are built around a strong summer outdoor recreation economy that are now dealing with the challenges of being heavily impacted by the threat of smoke and/or wildfires and their negative impact on the visitor experience and visitor economy.

The Membership & Marketing Committee brings together destination and industry professionals who are passionate about growing and strengthening the One West community. This group will collaborate on membership recruitment and retention strategies, marketing initiatives, member engagement, and communications that showcase the value of One West. Members will share ideas, explore new opportunities, and help shape campaigns and programs that connect members, grow participation, and ensure everyone can truly Find Their People Here.

This group will share best practices for recruiting sporting events, building community partnerships, enhancing facilities, and maximizing the economic impact of sports tourism. Members will discuss emerging trends, industry challenges, and innovative strategies while collaborating to strengthen sports destinations throughout the One West community.

The Tourism Research Committee brings together destination researchers and analytics professionals to collaborate on the evolving landscape of tourism data and insights. Members will discuss trends, data challenges, and emerging tools while helping shape collaborative research opportunities that benefit the entire One West community.
