Professional Bio
As president and chief executive officer of Travel North Tahoe Nevada (TNTNV), Andy Chapman is a leading voice in preserving Lake Tahoe for future generations. With more than 25 years of experience in the tourism industry, he has driven the evolution from destination marketing to a new focus on destination stewardship.
Under his leadership, TNTNV is implementing innovative and sustainable tourism practices in Lake Tahoe, bringing together diverse partners to encourage destination experiences supporting a vibrant economy, enhancing community character and fostering environmental stewardship. TNTNV and their partners are bringing new approaches to address regional challenges including transportation, workforce housing, environmental stewardship and user impacts. Chapman has served the community and the industry on a wide range of boards including the Lake Tahoe Stewardship Council, Reno-Sparks Visitor and Convention Bureau, Tahoe Transportation District, One West Tourism Alliance and the Truckee North Tahoe Transportation Management Association.
A native of Reno, Chapman has lived in Lake Tahoe for 30 years and enjoys any activity in, on, under or above the waters of Big Blue; you can find him on the closest disc golf course, skiing at one of Tahoe’s unbeatable peaks or hiking the numerous trails around the region.
