Organization Overview
Drifter AI is the AI search visibility and action platform for destinations and hospitality teams. Founded in 2026 and based in San Francisco, Drifter helps DMOs, hotels, attractions and venues see how AI engines describe and recommend their places, and what to do about it.
Travelers increasingly ask AI where to go and what to do. Drifter asks ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity the questions travelers ask about a destination, shows what each engine says and which sources it trusts, and turns the gaps into work the team can act on: pages to fix, pages to add and technical issues to clear up. The DMO's own team reviews and approves everything before it goes live, and Drifter asks again every week so teams can see what changed.
For DMOs, Drifter also shows the local businesses and events AI names around a destination, so tourism boards can help their whole community be represented well in AI answers.
We're joining One West to learn from and support Western DMOs as they navigate AI search and discoverability, through committees, education programs and the MarTech Summit.
