Jennifer Harrison is a destination marketing and communications leader with more than 20 years of experience helping communities grow through tourism, strategic partnerships, stakeholder engagement, and innovative marketing. Throughout her career, she has built a reputation for bringing people together, telling authentic destination stories, and creating initiatives that drive measurable economic impact.
Jennifer spent two decades with the Santa Maria Valley Chamber & Visitors Bureau, advancing through multiple leadership roles before serving as Vice President of Marketing & Communications. During her tenure, she led destination marketing efforts, helped create, renew and strengthen the Tourism Marketing District, developed award-winning campaigns that gained national and international attention, and cultivated partnerships with industry leaders including Visit California and CalTravel. Her work contributed to significant tourism growth, stronger community engagement, and enhanced visibility for the region.

An Accredited Chamber Executive (A.C.E.) and graduate of the Western Association of Chamber Executives Academy, Jennifer's expertise includes destination development, branding, public relations, media relations, business development, and organizational leadership. She is passionate about building strong teams, fostering collaboration, and creating experiences that benefit visitors, businesses, and residents alike.
