Professional Bio
Jim Luttjohann is the President & CEO of Love Catalina Island, Catalina's Tourism Authority. He began working there in 2014. He's also the Film Liaison for City of Avalon and Catalina Island Conservancy.
He has overseen multiple RFPs, research projects, re-branding, website designs and launched enhanced Cruise Industry relations, Film Attraction efforts and Environment Stewardship programs including CruisetoCatalina.com, FilmCatalina.com and CareForCatalina.com (affiliated 501(c)(3) nonprofit). Partnerships with Visit California and Kind Traveler have also raised awareness of Catalina Island among travelers and travel, tourism, film and cruise industries.
Previously he was Executive Director of the Santa Fe Convention and Visitors Bureau/Santa Fe Community Convention Center from 2012-2014 (Tourism Santa Fe).
From 2004 -2012, he was Executive Director of the Ventura Visitors & Convention Bureau (Visit Ventura).
Luttjohann serves as a board member of North American Travel Journalists Association (NATJA), the Rotary Club of Avalon and Avalon Beautiful. Past board service includes the Western Association of Convention & Visitors Bureaus (OneWest), Tourism Association of New Mexico and New Mexico State Tourism's Region Five, CalTravel, Friends of the Olivas Adobe, Ventura County Lodging Alliance (T-BID), California's Central Coast Tourism Council and the Ventura Chamber of Commerce. Additional board service included many years with both The Ventura Music Festival Association and Downtown Ventura Organization, ten years on Ventura's Cultural Affairs Commission and over ten years of service on the board of the organization he later directed—the Ventura Visitors & Convention Bureau.
