Keith Lewis

Keith Lewis is an experienced public-sector leader with a career spanning education, government relations, and community development. He currently serves as Executive Director of Visit Carson Valley, where he leads regional tourism strategy, destination marketing, and stakeholder partnerships focused on sustainable economic impact and quality-of-life outcomes. Known for his collaborative leadership style and strategic clarity, Keith brings a results-driven approach to place-based promotion and organizational management.

Prior to his current role, Keith served as Superintendent of the Douglas County School District, overseeing one of Nevada’s largest public education systems. During his tenure, he guided the district through complex operational, fiscal, and governance challenges, earning a reputation for principled leadership and transparent decision-making. After retiring from the superintendency, Keith transitioned to tourism and economic development work that allows him to continue serving the community he calls home. He remains actively engaged in regional initiatives and executive-level projects, including leadership advisory work related to superintendent searches and public-sector governance.
