Leslee Gaul
CEO and President, Visit Oceanside
A graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia with a BGS, Leslee has over 30 years of travel and tourism experience. Her accomplishments include the creation of Oceanside’s first Destination Marketing and Management Organization (DMO). Under her leadership, the tourism industry has experienced ten years of unprecedented growth, averaging seven percent year-over-year.
Leslee has worked in partnership with the city on destination management initiatives that include Oceanside’s first sustainable tourism master plan. Other initiatives include major infrastructure improvements and new product development opportunities such as the Agritourism Strategic Plan, El Corazon Master Plan, SoCal Sports Complex, The Arts Master Plan, Downtown Community Vision Plan and advocacy for beach preservation programs. In addition, she oversaw the development and execution of Visit Oceanside’s award-winning brand.
Leslee currently serves on the Economic Development Commission, the Cal Travel Executive Board, the Oceanside Chamber board and the Oceanside Cultural District Executive Committee among other board and committee leadership positions.
A proud O’sider, she resides in Oceanside, CA with her family.
