Lisa Mayo, CDME

I graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in California with a degree in Recreation Administration. From the time of graduation, I held various "tourism-adjacent" roles. I began my DMO career on September 10, 2001 as the Executive Director for the Calaveras Visitors Bureau. After serving 11 years there, I took the Sales & Marketing Director position at the nearby Tuolumne County Visitors Bureau, now DBA as Visit Tuolumne County. A couple years after taking that position I was named President and CEO of VTC. Tuolumne County is where I grew up and it is an honor to get to promote this destination that I have deep roots in and that is so special to me. Tuolumne County is home to nearly 60% of Yosemite National Park and we also have portions of California's historic Gold Country and spectacular Sierra Nevada mountain range.
