Gina Marr-Hiemstra

Gina has over 40 years of working with people, including customer service, relationship management, sales and marketing, office management, event, website and social marketing, organizational and project management. Gina’s professional experiences include hospitality and guest service, retail management and merchant relations, staffing and employee relations, sales and marketing, events, business development and operations, as well as membership, sponsorship and volunteer coordination.

During her work career, Gina has attended 100+ seminars and workshops on communication, managing difficult people, recruitment and interviewing, team development, writing, fundraising and sponsorship, creative leadership, branding, sustainability and environmental concerns, agritourism, culinary tourism, and destination management best practices.

Gina lives in Vallejo and when not focused on destination management and building partnerships with Marin and regional businesses, she spends time helping her husband’s real estate office in downtown Vallejo. Gina loves art and culture activities including visiting museums and historic mansions; Gina is a foodie and enjoys culinary experiences, including cheese and wine tastings, farm tours, and experiencing the restaurant scene. She also loves color, traveling, shopping, and has a passion for fashion and artisan art, jewelry, and home adornments.
